About CurateWeb
We curate data that's already out there and make it easy to compare.
CurateWeb is a discovery site. Most of the information people need before a big purchase already exists somewhere — it's just spread across thousands of dealer sites, listing feeds and program pages. We collect it, organize it by the things people actually search for (a zip code, a state, a model year, a type of degree) and publish it as pages anyone can read without signing up.
Cars
Our largest section is car shopping. We track live inventory from franchise and independent dealerships and turn it into pages for every U.S. state, the zip codes we cover, and the model years we have data for: which new and used cars are most popular in an area, what they're listed for, how many miles used ones tend to have, and which dealerships carry the most inventory.
Listing data comes from a licensed automotive data provider and is refreshed on a recurring schedule, so figures are a recent snapshot rather than a live feed. We don't sell cars, we don't broker transactions, and dealers can't pay for placement in our rankings — the ordering comes from the underlying data.
Education and other categories
We also curate categories where choosing well is hard and the options are scattered — business schools and online MBA programs, accredited online colleges, and other consumer categories we're building out. In those categories you can ask us to match you with programs by submitting a short form; when you do, the details you provide are sent to the schools and program partners we work with so they can contact you. That's optional, it's always clearly labeled, and it's how we fund the site.
What we share and how to have it deleted is spelled out in our Privacy Policy.
Corrections and questions
Aggregated data goes stale and third-party feeds contain mistakes. If something on the site is wrong — a dealer listed in the wrong city, a price that doesn't match reality, a program detail that's out of date — tell us and we'll fix or remove it.
