The 2017 model: A ground-up redesign made the Tundra a genuinely full-size truck, built at Toyota's San Antonio, Texas plant, with the new 5.7L i-FORCE V8 as the headline engine alongside smaller V8 and V6 options and the six-passenger CrewMax cab. A major 2014 refresh brought new exterior styling and interiors, and the off-road TRD Pro trim arrived for 2015. This generation ran an unusually long 15 model years, so later examples feel dated in cabin tech but the proven V8 powertrains are a key reason for the truck's used-market following.
